TREZRA
► TREZRA is the ship name between
Tresor Rivers and Ezra Williams.
► Nature of the relationship: Engagement.
► As Ezra has mentioned in episode 2, they've been together for 10 years now, since they were both 18.
► Episode 4 depicts their first meeting, with Ezra insisting he has dinner with him, and Tresor refusing, stating that with a family to take care of, she has no time. She finally agrees when he suggests bringing dinner to her instead.
► In the following episode, After young Ezra's poking around, young Tresor has a meltdown in which she states that her mother is dead. She later on explains that her life is a mess, and so is she, and that he should take the easy way out while he can. He replies with kissing her, indicating that he doesn't plan on going anywhere.
► Ezra seems to share a healthy relationship with the rest of the Rivers family (Excluding Jonah):
In episode 1, Raign refers to Tresor and Ezra's relationship as "literally goals"
He also attends their mother's funeral with them, suggesting a respect towards the family.
► However, that's not the cast with the rest of The Rivers family, Jonah:
In episode 3, Ezra doesn't leave the best first impression when he goes off on Jonah and who he is, leaving Jonah skeptical of the kind of person Ezra is.
► In episode 1, Ezra gets into a heated argument with Sheriff Shelby regarding Tresor, showing his protective, almost over protective, side.
This over protective almost hostile side can be seen again In episode 2, when he lashes out at Jordan for suggesting leaving Tres for the sake of his campaign.
► Ezra is very possessive and Jealous of Tresor
- That can be especially seen in Episode 1, when Ezra is furious to find Simon at the police station, and questions him, almost threatening him, with
"How many times do I have to tell you to stay the hell away from my fiance." leaving Simon stuttering.
However, this hostility might be well deserved on Simon's part, and so far, that was the first and last scene shared by Simon and Ezra, so a lot more about the history of this hostility is yet to be discovered.
► Despite Simon and Jordan having their reasons to not wanting Ezra and Tresor together, they have admitted to how much Tresor and Ezra love eachother:
- In episode 2, Jordan argues with Mrs. Williams about how Tresor is Ezra's love of his life, stating
"This is Ezra and Tresor we're talking about."
- In episode 3, Simon admits that Ezra does love Tresor and make her happy, when asked if Ezra's a good guy.
► In episode 3, when Tresor voices her concerns about how people are going to talk, he answers with "Let them." stating that he loves her, and that's the only thing that matters.
► In episode 3, he tells his mother that he chooses to stay with Tresor and risk losing the campaign, stating that he won't leave her, not now not ever.
► In episode 4, Ezra struggles to settle down a now hectic Tresor, as she is willing to sacrifice her relationship with Ezra for the sake of what she believes is his happiness, the election. When Tresor states that the election is everything he's ever wanted, Ezra replies with "you are everything i've ever wanted." followed by that he doesn't want to win the election if it means losing her. They reconcile.
